The trinary.cc website is dedicated to promoting the use of trinary algebra in logic circuit design. The information posted here is entirely based on volunteer efforts. The ultimate expression of success of this project is to see chips designed by volunteers commercially available. The plan to take trinary logic mainstream involves several steps:

The first step is to get the word out and start educating other circuit designers.
Create an electrical specification.
Refine existing transistor models of the basic gates to meet the standard.
Release spice models of the gates for simulation.
Get the basic gates fabricated in silicon so designers and students can start experimenting.
Define ternary extensions to "C".
Create something like the Java Virtual Machine for people to experiment with.
